A Taste for Absinthe
I co-authored A Taste for Absinthe, published by Clarkson Potter/Random House, a book that explores both the storied history and contemporary revival of absinthe. Combining cultural context with practical guidance, the book includes more than 65 recipes from some of the world’s top mixologists and cocktail bars, giving readers an accessible way to appreciate the unique flavors and traditions of “the green fairy.”
The book received outstanding reviews from the discerning absinthe community, where authenticity and accuracy are paramount. It was quickly adopted by mixologists and bartenders as a go-to resource for understanding absinthe’s history, versatility, and place in modern cocktail culture.
The reception extended beyond the bar world. The Huffington Post praised the book for demystifying absinthe and celebrating its creative uses in cocktails. Leading spirits writers and blogs also recommended it, including Real Absinthe Blog and Matthew Rowley’s Bookshelf.
More than just a recipe collection, A Taste for Absinthe helped shape how a new generation of drinkers and professionals view one of the most misunderstood and celebrated spirits in the world.
